Rico raised his fist and knocked in a familiar rhythm.
Knock-knu-knock-KNOCK-KNOCK.
A pause.
Sin stared at the peephole, watching for the faintest shift of light behind it. A shadow passed. Then the light was completely blocked out.
A moment later, a slow sliver of light crept through as the chain lock was pulled tight, stopping the door from opening all the way.
A head tilted forward, left eye peeking through.
Recognition flickered. Rico.
Then the eye darted toward Sin.
A slow head shake. Disapproval. Hesitation.
"Bro, this ain’t cool," the voice murmured.
