Did This Silent Punk Just Humiliate a Detective Without Saying a Word?
The Salute Heard by None
Welcome to The Silent Mob—where the streets of NYC don’t whisper, they watch. In this city, silence ain’t just golden—it’s the difference between power and prey. Loyalties snap like brittle bones, betrayal lurks in the shadows, and only the ruthless make it out. Every week, we’re dropping exclusive heat. Stay locked in—or fade into the noise.
Sin went full Broadway.
One second he was unreadable stone. The next-he transformed.
His hands shot up to his skull. Mouth gaping open, eyebrows arched to the ceiling, his face contorted into wide-eyed shock like he just remembered his own name.
Then-
A sharp, soldier-grade salute.
Followed by the most dramatic, exaggerated bow you've ever seen-slow, deep, reverent. Like he was thanking a king for granting him life.
The detective blinked.
Once.
Twice.
What the fuck just happened?
He could not tell if he had just been disrespected, made fun of, or honored. It was theater. Satire. Silence turned into a sledgehammer of mockery.
Ace and Lil' G were outside, faces smashed against the glass, dying.
Their bodies convulsed with silent hysteria.
Shoulders bouncing. Hands slapping knees. Mouths stretched wide in broken laughter.
Sayeed, behind the counter, just shook his head slow. That old look-the one that said, "I've seen a lot, but this right here is some next-level bullshit."
The detective started to speak, then stopped.
He was in too deep and didn't even realize it.
Sin calmly grabbed his sandwich, locked eyes with the cop one last time, and strolled out like a man who had just won a silent war.
The smirk said everything.
Silence wins again.

Damn. I really want to know what happens on the scenes in between. When is the novel dropping?
